Mirador de Chipeque

About the place
Mirador de Chipeque is one of the most impressive viewpoints on the island of Tenerife, located in a high-altitude area near the volcanic landscapes of Teide National Park. From here, visitors can enjoy sweeping panoramic views of Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain, rising above the island’s dramatic terrain. One of the most famous natural phenomena here is the “sea of clouds,” when clouds remain below the mountain slopes, creating the effect of a floating island. The surrounding Canary pine forests contrast with the volcanic scenery and give the place a special atmosphere of peace and solitude. At sunrise and sunset, the light paints the sky and the volcano in rich shades of orange, pink, and purple, making it especially popular among photographers. Despite its popularity, the area still feels quiet, spacious, and deeply connected to nature.
