Tenerife is bigger than 'one day' suggests, so treat this list as a menu and pick a direction rather than chasing all of it. A northern loop (La Laguna, the Anaga ridge and Benijo beach, then Garachico and the Drago tree at Icod) makes one coherent day; a central-west one pairs Teide with the winding drive to Masca and Punta de Teno. If Teide is the goal, the cable car needs no permit but standing on the actual summit does, so book the free slot weeks ahead. Start early either way, as the Anaga north often clouds over by afternoon.
