About the place
Teide National Park is a magnificent natural reserve located in the center of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Its main landmark is Mount Teide, a volcano standing 3,718 meters high — the highest peak in Spain. The park encompasses landscapes of solidified lava flows, volcanic cones, calderas, and an incredible diversity of endemic flora and fauna adapted to the harsh conditions of the highlands. This place is not only for hiking and sightseeing — the park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007.
