Siam Park is a water park in Costa Adeje, in the municipality of Adeje on Tenerife, owned by Loro Parque. Construction began in 2004 and the park opened on 15 September 2008. Its 25 Thai-styled buildings form the largest collection of Thai-themed architecture outside Thailand. The park is built on a hill, so its slides run along the terrain, and the water is heated to 25 °C. It won Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice award for the world's best water park every year from 2014 to 2022.

What makes it special
On the Tower of Power the floor gives way and you drop through a clear tube that runs through a tank of sharks and rays. The whole park is built on a hill, so the other slides snake down the slope along the ground, with little of the scaffolding that props up most water slides. The Wave Palace sends waves 3.3 metres high, taller than the ceiling of most rooms, onto a white-sand beach, and the Mai Thai River ends in a lift up to one more slide past the sharks.
Singha (2015) pushes riders uphill through saucer-shaped bowls, and Saifá (2023) races two lanes side by side down the hill. Around it all stand 25 Thai-style buildings, and palms shade the paths between rides. Children have their own ground in Lost City, the Sawasdee area and the shallow Coco Beach wave pool.
Good to know
- Fast pass: it does not include entry to the park. You need an admission ticket as well.
- Queues: waits run from a couple of minutes to over an hour. Singha, Saifá and the Tower of Power draw the longest lines.
- Water shoes: there is a lot of walking, hard on bare feet, and the shoes can be worn on the slides. The shops by the lockers sell them.
- Ride rules: signs at the start of each queue say how many riders a slide takes and whether you carry a mat or ring up with you.
- Wave pool: the Wave Palace runs its waves in timed sessions, so check the times when you arrive.
Getting there
The park stands on a hillside in Costa Adeje, with the Estación Costa Adeje bus station about 230 m away in a straight line. Drivers have two park car parks, about 120 m and 190 m away, and there is free and paid street parking as well. On busy summer days the car parks fill.
The park also runs a free shuttle bus that picks up at hotels, so check whether yours is on the route before you plan to drive. Coming by car, bus or shuttle, you finish with a walk of a couple of hundred metres to the gates. Once inside, head for a locker first, then to the ride you most want before the queues build.
Best time to visit
Best: at opening, with your ticket already bought, so you are at the gates before 10:00.
Avoid: the middle of the day in the summer holidays.
Entry is quick and sunbeds are easy to find in the first hour, but the park fills from around midday, when the biggest slides queue for an hour or more.
