Almodovar del Rio Castle is a medieval fortress perched atop La Floresta hill. Built to control the Guadalquivir River, its towers and walls display classic military architecture. The hilltop location provides commanding views of the surrounding valley and town below. The castle’s massive stone structure and defensive features have been remarkably preserved. It remains one of Andalusia’s most impressive examples of fortified architecture.
