Torre del Homenaje features a massive square stone and brick structure crowned with a distinctive 16th-century bell tower. Its position on the hill’s edge emphasizes the scale and strength of the entire fortress system. From the top, visitors can see endless olive groves, the white city quarters, and the surrounding rocky mountains. The tower reflects the military history of the Reconquista, when it was considered nearly impregnable. Roman stones from nearby ruins were used in its foundation, highlighting the layered history of the site.
