Altomira Coast

About the place
Costa de Altomira is a coastal area along the Buendia reservoir, known for its rugged cliffs and turquoise waters. The shoreline is deeply indented, forming hidden coves and sandy shallows that resemble a sea amid the arid plateau. Views include expansive water labyrinths and pine groves reaching the water’s edge, creating a captivating landscape. The cliffs and open horizon provide a setting for water sports, fishing, and sunset watching. The reservoir itself is one of Spain’s largest artificial lakes and plays a key role in the Tajo-Segura hydraulic system.
