Bolarque Lookout

About the place
Bolarque Lookout is a viewpoint perched on a rocky cliff, showcasing the confluence of the Tajo and Guadiela rivers. The site offers sweeping views of the Bolarque reservoir, nestled within a narrow canyon between steep slopes of the Sierra de Altamira. Visitors can observe the dramatic canyon walls and the turquoise ribbon of water cutting through sun-baked limestone plateaus. The lookout provides spectacular vistas especially at sunset, when cliffs glow in crimson and gold. Large colonies of birds of prey nest in the canyon walls, adding life to the rugged landscape.
