Asnos Lake

About the place
Asnos Lake is a natural glacial lake (known locally as an ibon) situated at an altitude of over 2000 meters in the Pyrenees. The lake sits in a bowl-shaped basin surrounded by steep, rocky peaks that reflect in its crystal-clear water. It can be reached via mountain hiking trails or by telecabin from the village of Panticosa during the summer season. The area is popular with hikers for its alpine scenery and the chance to spot local wildlife like marmots. Visitors come here to experience the high-altitude tranquility and take in the panoramic views of the Tena Valley.
