Bujaruelo Bridge

Bujaruelo Bridge

About the place

The Bujaruelo Bridge is a single-arch stone bridge built in the Romanesque style in the heart of the Pyrenees. Despite its ancient appearance, the structure was constructed during the Middle Ages to link Spain and France. The highlight of this spot is its role as the symbolic "gateway" to the wild Bujaruelo Valley and the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. Near the bridge, the ruins of an ancient church and an old inn create an atmosphere of immersion into the region's history. The crystal-clear water of the Ara River flowing beneath the wide arch completes the monumental mountain landscape.
