Cuevas

About the place

The village of Cuevas is famous because the only road leading to it passes through a large natural cave called La Cuevona. This tunnel is about three hundred meters long and features interior lighting and a pedestrian path. Inside, you can see real stalactites and stalagmites right from your car window as you drive through. After exiting the tunnel, you arrive in a quiet village filled with traditional Asturian houses and granaries on stilts. It is considered one of the most unusual places in the region due to its natural entrance.
