Gorg Blau Reservoir

Gorg Blau Reservoir is a mountain reservoir formed within a narrow limestone valley of the Sierra de Tramuntana. The lake is enclosed by steep rocky slopes of the Massanella and Puig Major massifs. Its intense blue color contrasts sharply with the surrounding gray stone, emphasizing the scale of the landscape. The reservoir plays an important role in the island water supply system while remaining visually unobtrusive. Gorg Blau Reservoir is considered one of the most monumental mountain landscapes of the Balearic Islands.
