Gorgo de la Escalera

About the place
Gorgo de la Escalera represents a classic karst formation where flowing water carved a vertical corridor through limestone over time. The polished rock surfaces and the depth of the basin reveal constant erosion, while the enclosed relief keeps the water temperature low throughout the year. This natural coolness has long made the place popular for swimming in summer, as well as for cliff jumping and canyoning. Despite its dramatic appearance, the canyon lies only a short walk from the center of Anna and is often used as a filming location thanks to its striking visual contrast between water and stone.
