Cascada de los Vikingos

About the place
Cascada de los Vikingos is shaped by travertine formations that developed around the constant movement of water, creating porous ledges and natural steps. The flow splits into several channels as it descends, enhancing the visual complexity of the cascade. Due to the depth of the gorge, high humidity and limited sunlight, a lush microclimate has formed here, often compared to a small tropical forest within the Mediterranean landscape. The waterfall is part of a canyoning route, where experienced adventurers descend directly along the stream, while sunlight at certain hours creates brief rainbow effects in the spray.
