Playa de Abama

About the place
Playa de Abama is a compact cove with golden sand located in the southwest of Tenerife, in the municipality of Guía de Isora. The cove is surrounded by tall lava cliffs and banana plantations, has a crescent shape, and is protected from large waves by a natural volcanic rock barrier, making the water calm and ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is approximately 100 m long and about 20 m wide. Access is possible via a parking area near the hotel and a pedestrian path with several steps leading down to the beach. The beach infrastructure includes basic amenities — trash bins, showers, a beach bar/restaurant, and sunbed and umbrella rentals. It is a wonderful place for relaxation — a quiet, beautiful beach with views of La Gomera on the horizon, perfect for families or couples looking to avoid large tourist crowds.
