Baja Larga Beach is a rocky beach on the west coast of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. It lies in the municipality of Guía de Isora, beside the village of Alcalá, and looks out over the Atlantic. The shore is dark volcanic rock underfoot, and the higher ground above it gives a view down over the beach and out to sea. It is a place to sit by the water in quiet surroundings.

What makes it special
The first thing to see is the view: from the higher ground above, it drops over dark rock to the Atlantic. Down on the shore there is no sand to speak of. The beach is rock underfoot, and the reason to come is to sit by the water and do very little.
The coast here faces west. Late in the day the sun goes down over the sea, and on a clear evening La Gomera stands on the horizon.
