Casa Museo Cayetano Gómez Felipe

About the place
The museum is located in a traditional 18th-century Canarian house in the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna on the island of Tenerife. It was the family home of collector Cayetano Gómez Felipe (1902–1978). The museum houses a large collection of antiques reflecting the art, daily life, and traditions of the Canary Islands. Visitors can see paintings, sculptures, furniture, textiles, clothing, jewelry, ceramics, metalwork, architectural elements, photographs, and documents that illustrate the history of the Canary Islands as a strategic trade hub between Europe and the Americas. This place is an important cultural site that allows for a deeper understanding of the history and traditions of the Canary Islands. There is also an incredibly cozy and picturesque café located in the house’s inner courtyard, where visitors can enjoy aromatic coffee and take a break from the city’s noise.
