Gullfoss Waterfall
About the place
Gullfoss plunges in two stages into a deep canyon along the Hvítá river. The upper tier drops approximately 11 meters, followed by a second fall of about 21 meters. During sunny days, a misty rainbow often appears above the falls. The waterfall is easily accessible via walking paths and viewpoints. Gullfoss is one of Iceland’s most iconic and photographed waterfalls.
