Latrabjarg Cliffs

Latrabjarg Cliffs

About the place

Latrabjarg Cliffs stretch for 14 kilometers along the westernmost edge of Iceland. The cliffs rise up to 441 meters and host one of the largest seabird colonies in the world. Puffins and other birds nest in the vertical walls and are surprisingly approachable. The vast ocean and dramatic cliffs create a sense of raw natural power. The combination of silence and wildlife sounds gives the feeling of being at the edge of the world.
