The Pináculo & Folhadal Trail (PR17) is a high-altitude route on Madeira Island that passes through Laurisilva forests, tunnels, and levada streams, with a total length of about 15–17 km. The elevation ranges from approximately 930 to 1,530 m, making the trail challenging and requiring good physical preparation. Along the way, hikers can enjoy breathtaking views of the Ribeira Brava valley, the island’s peaks, and largely untouched natural scenery.
