Arctic Henge

Arctic Henge rises on a low hill above Raufarhöfn, one of Iceland's northernmost villages, just short of the Arctic Circle. Four ringed gateways and a central basalt column are set out like a vast sundial, positioned so the sun shines through aligned openings and throws light and shadow across the stones. The design draws on the Old Norse poem Völuspá. It remains unfinished — a slow, deliberate project you walk into rather than just look at.
