Arctic Henge

Arctic Henge (Heimskautsgerdi) is an ambitious architectural monument in Raufarhöfn. It consists of massive stone arches arranged to capture the rays of the sun at key times of the year. Four large arches represent the cardinal directions, and the central column points to the North Star. The monument is dedicated to the world of the Poetic Edda, with each detail referencing dwarves and northern mythology. It creates a magical atmosphere, especially under the midnight sun or the northern lights. Visitors can walk among the stones and experience the combination of mythology, astronomy, and landscape.
