Breiddalsafoss Waterfall

About the place
Breiðdalsárfoss is a modest waterfall on Route 955 in Iceland's Eastfjords, easy to drive past without noticing. There's no sign, no car park and rarely anyone else around. A narrow, unmarked sheep track leaves the road just before a bridge and drops to a rough viewpoint over the falls. It won't rival Iceland's famous cascades, and that's the appeal — a calm, green spot where you'll likely have the water to yourself.
