Búðareyrarfoss Waterfall

Búðareyrarfoss is the waterfall that stands right over the town of Seyðisfjörður, in the Eastfjords. The Búðará river, fed by meltwater from Strandartindur, drops off the mountainside above the harbour and fans out in a broad cascade of around sixty metres before reaching the fjord. It sits minutes on foot from the cruise pier and the town centre — a short path climbs beside the water to a footbridge over the falls and loops back with a view over the town's coloured roofs.
