Fjorur
About the place
Fjorur beach is located at the base of Vestrahorn mountain. It is known for its sharp mountain peaks and extensive black sand dunes. Shallow lagoons at Fjorur create mirror-like reflections during low tide. Driftwood is often scattered along the shore, adding to the wild scenery. Birds, such as sea eagles, can be seen hunting for fish in the coastal waters. The contrasting green grass on the black volcanic dunes enhances the dramatic landscape.
