Reynisfjall Observation Deck

About the place
Reynisfjall Observation Deck sits about 340 meters above sea level on the mountain separating Vik and Reynisfjara. From the eastern side, the viewpoint overlooks Vikurfjara Beach, the village of Vik, and its red church. To the south, sharp basalt formations of Reynisdrangar rise dramatically from the ocean. On clear days, the rock arch of Dyrholaey is visible to the west. During summer, the cliffs around the observation deck are home to nesting puffins.
