Grettirs Pool

About the place
Grettirs Pool consists of two small stone baths on the shore of Skaga Fjord in northern Iceland. The site is named after Grettir the Strong, hero of one of Iceland's famous sagas. The combination of ancient history and rugged natural beauty makes it unique. The surrounding landscape is quiet and dramatic, with cold ocean waters and a view of the rocky Drangey Island. Steam rises from the stones and blends with the salty sea breeze, creating a classic otherworldly northern Icelandic atmosphere.
