Lakes Ibones de Villamuerta are natural bodies of water comprising the Lower and Upper lakes, linked by a cascading stream. The landscape here transitions from verdant pastures and mountain pine groves at the lower level to rugged granite scree slopes on the upper tier. This "ibon" (lake) acts as a perfect natural mirror, reflecting the snowy peaks and the Aneto glacier. Due to their convenient location in the Benasque Valley, these lakes often serve as the first point of discovery for travelers exploring the high-altitude terrain of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.
