Reykjanes Lighthouse

Reykjanesviti stands on the peninsula's storm-beaten southwestern tip, where Iceland lit its first lighthouse in 1878. Earthquakes and a crumbling cliff wrecked that tower within a decade; its 26.7-metre successor has topped Bæjarfell hill since 1908. The setting is the draw — Gunnuhver's steam clouds inland, the Valahnúkamöl cliffs below, and the North Atlantic breaking against them.
