Svalbardseyri Lighthouse
About the place
The lighthouse stands in one of the most scenic fjords in northern Iceland. It is set against calm fjord waters reflecting snow-covered mountain peaks. The bright orange tower contrasts with the dark water and the wide open sky. Its simple square concrete design features a white stripe and a red lantern on top. In winter, the lighthouse becomes especially striking against snow and ice.
