Fagrifoss Waterfall

About the place
The waterfall is formed by the Geirlandsá river as it enters a steep gorge. Its thin streams create a lace-like pattern against the rock face. The surrounding canyon is narrow, with sheer walls rising above the riverbed. Access requires a 4x4 vehicle, as the route follows rough highland tracks. Fagrifoss is often visited as part of journeys toward Lakagigar and the interior highlands.
