Fossfjordur Waterfall

Foss gives Fossfjörður its name — the waterfall drops beside the road in the westernmost of Arnarfjörður’s southern side-fjords. It is not tall by Icelandic standards, but broad and full, fanning white over dark rock a step from the car, with a smaller fall or two alongside. The catch is parking: there is no dedicated lot, so most pull onto the verge or drive on and walk back. Nearby stands the abandoned "A-house" that photographers seek out.
