Krosslaug Hot Spring

Krosslaug is a geothermal bathing place on the Barðaströnd coast in the south Westfjords, facing the open bay of Breiðafjörður. One warm source feeds two pools — a small natural hot spring, and a larger concrete pool beside it, better for swimming. The site is run by the local youth club, and payment is a donation dropped in an honesty box. The water is mild rather than scalding, so you can soak for hours. Its name means "pool of the cross".
