Strengfell Mountain
About the place
Strengfell is a low fell above the village of Bíldudalur on Arnarfjörður, in the Westfjords of Iceland. From its open slope the view runs wide over the village and down the length of the fjord, its steep sides dropping to calm water. Getting up is a short outing rather than a real climb. It is free and has no facilities, and works best on the clear, settled days this sheltered corner — the Westfjords' 'good-weather capital' — is known for.
