Hornstrandir Nature Reserve

About the place
Hornstrandir Nature Reserve is located in the far north of Iceland. There are no roads or permanent residents; access is by boat or on foot. The cliffs, such as Hornbjarg, rise vertically into the ocean and host large seabird colonies. Polar foxes live freely here and are often unafraid of humans. The untouched tundra and rugged landscapes provide a glimpse of pristine Arctic wilderness.
