Glanni Waterfall

About the place
Glanni is a modest, many-stepped waterfall in West Iceland, on the Norðurá — one of the country's most prized salmon rivers. The water drops through the dark, mossy lava field left by the Grábrók eruption. Local tradition holds that elves and trolls live here. A short trail leads from the car park to a viewing platform, and a few minutes further on lies Paradísarlaut, a quiet pond. It is a calm stop rather than a headline sight.
