Kirkjufell Waterfall Viewpoint
About the place
The built-up viewpoint for Kirkjufellsfoss and Mount Kirkjufell sits just outside Grundarfjörður in west Iceland. A pay car park, marked paths and small bridges line up the country's postcard shot, and the site is made for the crowds the scene draws. An easy walk reaches the platform; a steeper graded trail drops beside the falls. A seasonal shuttle bus serves visitors without a car.
