Grabrok Crater

About the place
Grabrok is a volcanic crater located in western Iceland within the Borgarfjordur area. It is the largest of three craters formed during a fissure eruption around three thousand years ago. A wooden stairway provides an easy ascent to the crater rim. From the top, visitors can observe the Nordurardalur valley and neighboring craters. The site is protected as a natural monument.
