Hafnarberg Sea Cliffs

About the place
Hafnarberg Sea Cliffs are a long stretch of vertical basalt cliffs rising from the Atlantic Ocean on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The cliffs host large colonies of seabirds, including puffins and guillemots. A scenic hiking trail passes through lava fields and leads to the cliff edge. From the coast, visitors can enjoy vast ocean views and may spot whales and dolphins on clear days. The exposed rock layers display the volcanic history of the region.
