Hrunalaug Hot Spring

Hrunalaug sits in a fold of farmland near Flúðir, at the edge of the Golden Circle in South Iceland. Warm water gathers in a handful of small stone pools beside a stream, next to the old turf-roofed hut that gives the place its cottage look. Long a free local secret, it now runs as a tidy family site with a new changing building — showers, lockers and towel rental. The draw is a slow, low-key soak, nothing like the big commercial lagoons.
