Hrunalaug Hot Spring

Hrunalaug is a tiny and enchanting hot spring in a valley near Fludir. The pool is small, made of stones, and accompanied by a tiny turf-roofed changing room, giving it a fairytale charm. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, unlike the large popular lagoons. The surroundings are quiet and dramatic, with gentle green hills, a small river, and rising steam from wet grass. It feels like a miniature otherworldly landscape, where ancient bathing traditions remain intact.
