Hveradalir

About the place
Hveradalir is a valley located in the central highlands of Iceland within the Kerlingarfjoll mountains. The valley is famous for its colorful rhyolite slopes ranging from orange to gold. Steam rises from the geothermal ground, contrasting with green moss and white glaciers. Wooden walkways and ladders allow safe exploration of boiling streams. Snow can remain on the peaks even in July, creating a stunning palette of colors.
