Landmannalaugar Hot Spring

About the place
This is the natural pool that gave Landmannalaugar its name — literally "the people's pools." Warm water seeping from the edge of the Laugahraun lava field meets a cold stream, so bathers wade through the mix to find a comfortable spot. Rust-red rhyolite mountains rise on every side. A short boardwalk runs from the campsite to the water, bathing is free, and the pool is a common stop after a day on the Bláhnúkur or Laugavegur trails.
