Dynkur Waterfall

Dynkur, also known as Búðarhálsfoss, is a broad, stepped waterfall on the Þjórsá, Iceland's longest river, deep in the southwestern highlands. Rather than one clean drop, it splinters over a dark rock shelf into a fan of parallel channels that regather in the canyon below. It lies far from the Ring Road on a rough farmers' track, and that isolation is the draw: reaching it needs a 4x4 and a summer day, so most visitors have the falls to themselves.
