Nauthusagil Ravine

About the place
Nauthúsagil — roughly 'the bull-shed ravine' — is a slot in the hillside above Stóra-Mörk farm, on Road 249 toward Þórsmörk. It doesn't look like much from the car park. To reach the waterfall you wade straight up the cold stream that drains it, between mossy walls that close in overhead. Near the top a chain and rope help with the last slippery step. Beyond waits Nauthúsafoss, a slender fall at the back of the gorge.
