Hundafoss Waterfall

Hundafoss is the first and tallest of the small waterfalls on the popular climb to Svartifoss in Skaftafell, part of Vatnajökull National Park. The trail leaves the visitor area and rises through birch woods. The fall drops in a slim ribbon into a narrow gully below the path, a pause before the basalt-column fall higher up. Most walkers hurry past, but the quieter upper side gives a closer look and the best views of the snow-capped peaks.
