Husafell Canyon Baths

Husafell Canyon Baths

About the place

Husafell Canyon Baths is a geothermal bathing complex located at the bottom of a secluded canyon in western Iceland. The pools are constructed by hand from local stone, echoing the shape and texture of the surrounding cliffs. Access is possible only with a guide, which preserves silence, privacy, and the untouched character of the place. Nearby, a cold mountain river flows just meters away, creating a striking contrast between hot water and glacial melt. The design draws inspiration from historic Viking age bathing sites mentioned in Icelandic sagas.
