Lysulaugar Mineral Pool

Lýsulaugar is a plain geothermal bath on the south side of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Its spring is heavy with minerals and iron, and the chlorella algae that grow in it tint the water green, because nothing here is chlorinated. Instead of a lagoon there is a swimming pool, a couple of hot tubs at different temperatures and a cold plunge. It opens for the summer only, with open countryside all around.
