Innri-Fellsfoss Waterfall

Innri-Fellsfoss Waterfall

About the place

Innri-Fellsfoss is a waterfall on the Skógá river in south Iceland, above the popular Skógafoss. Most visitors stop at Skógafoss and turn back. Beyond the staircase, the Skógá drops through a string of waterfalls few people see, and Innri-Fellsfoss is one of the first. It falls in a wide, heavy curtain, with a viewpoint on each bank of the gorge. Reaching it means a real uphill walk, and the falls further upstream are rated even better.
