Krysuvik Church

Krysuvik Church is a small wooden church in a geothermal area. It stands surrounded by steaming fumaroles and colorful sulfur mountains, creating a mystical landscape. The ground behind the church is tinted in vivid red, yellow, and green hues due to mineral deposits. The air is filled with geothermal steam, adding to the otherworldly atmosphere. The church was almost destroyed by fire in 2010 but was meticulously restored using historical plans, preserving its 1857 appearance.
