Lodmundarfjordur

Lodmundarfjordur fjord is one of the most secluded and remote fjords on eastern Iceland. It is surrounded by steep mountains and towering sea cliffs. Extensive valleys within the fjord are crossed by numerous waterfalls in spring. The road to Lodmundarfjordur fjord is challenging and open only a few months per year. Visitors can enjoy solitude and experience the wild and untouched beauty of the area.
