Selatangar

Selatangar sits on the Reykjanes coast in southwest Iceland, where a black lava field meets the open sea. It was one of the bigger fishing stations between Grindavík and Krýsuvík — crews lived in dry-stone huts and launched their boats straight off this harbourless shore. The station was abandoned after 1880, and the ruins, well preserved and now protected, drew ghost stories almost from the start.
